Making a painting on wood
Contact us for your own Pop Arte to add text.
Each painting starts out with a detailed drawing on marine grade plywood which has a hard paper laminate pressed onto both sides of wood for a smooth surface to paint on.  A jigsaw is carefully utilized to cut out along the contour of the car shape, then all edges are sanded smooth with 2 coats of primer painted to seal plywood perimeter.  A wood support brace is attached to the back of painting which helps to stand the painting 1 inch off wall surface.  The Art is finally attached to a special easel engineered to raise or lower painting for rendering in acrylic paints.  After the 3 dimensional painting is completed it receives several coats of polyurethane satin clear to deepen the colors & protect the Pop Art.
